How to Know If You're Living in Alignment With Your Soul's Purpose
So many people feel disconnected from their purpose. They're doing all the right things, checking off the boxes, maybe even succeeding by external standards, but something still feels off. There's this quiet sense of "is this really it?"
And I think part of the reason so many of us feel this way is because we've been taught that purpose is something we choose. Like it's a career path or a title or a role we step into. But purpose isn't something you create. It's not something you build from scratch or force into existence.
Purpose is something you uncover.
It's already there, woven into who you are at a soul level. And the journey isn't about becoming someone new or finally figuring out the perfect plan. It's about remembering who you've always been.
Because here's the thing: purpose feels like alignment before it ever feels like success. It feels like coming home to yourself. It feels like peace, even when life isn't perfect. It feels like finally being able to breathe.
And that's what I want to explore with you in this blog.
Purpose isn't something you create, it is something you uncover.
I think one of the biggest misconceptions about purpose is that it's something we have to figure out or decide on. Like we're supposed to sit down one day, have this big epiphany, and suddenly know exactly what we're meant to do with our lives.
But that's not really how it works.
Purpose isn't about ego or external things. It's not about what sounds impressive or what other people think you should do or what you've been conditioned to believe success looks like. Purpose comes from the soul. And the soul already knows.
The problem is, most of us have spent years, maybe even our whole lives, living according to someone else's definition of success. We've absorbed childhood beliefs about what's acceptable, what's safe, what's realistic. We've taken on expectations from our parents, our culture, our peers. We've built entire identities around what we thought we were supposed to be.
And all of that conditioning creates layers. It buries the truth of who we actually are.
So when we start asking ourselves, "What is my purpose?" we're often asking from a place that's already clouded. We're trying to find the answer through all the noise, all the shoulds, all the fear of getting it wrong.
But purpose isn't something you get wrong. You can't mess it up. Because it's not something you're creating. It's something you're uncovering. It's something you're remembering.
The journey isn't about becoming someone new. It's about peeling back the layers and coming back to who you've always been.
Signs you're living in alignment
So what does that remembering actually look like? How do you know when you're moving closer to your soul instead of further away?
Here are some of the signs I've noticed, both in my own life and in the lives of the people I work with:
⭐You feel peace, even when life isn't perfect.
Alignment doesn't mean everything is easy or that you never have challenges. But there's a deeper sense of okayness underneath it all. You're not constantly fighting yourself or questioning if you're on the right path. There's a quiet knowing that you're exactly where you need to be.
⭐Your energy feels different.
When you're living in alignment, you stop feeling drained by your own life. The things you're doing don't deplete you the way they used to. You might still get tired, but it's a different kind of tired. It's the kind that comes from actually living, not from forcing yourself to be someone you're not.
⭐You stop forcing.
You're not white-knuckling your way through life anymore. You're not trying to control every outcome or make things happen through sheer willpower. There's a flow to things. Doors open. Opportunities show up. And even when things don't go the way you planned, you trust that it's all part of the process.
⭐Decisions become clearer.
When you're aligned, you don't second-guess yourself as much. You're not constantly asking other people what they think you should do. You check in with yourself, and the answer is there. It might not always be easy, but it's clear.
⭐You feel like yourself.
This one is huge. When you're in alignment, you're not performing. You're not trying to be the version of yourself that you think people want to see. You're just you. And that feels like relief.
⭐You naturally want to serve others.
Purpose isn't selfish. When you're living in alignment with your soul, you naturally want to share your gifts. You want to help. You want to contribute. Not because you're trying to prove something or earn love, but because it feels good to give from a place of overflow.
⭐You're no longer chasing approval.
You stop needing everyone to understand you or validate your choices. You're not looking for permission to be yourself. You're just being yourself, and that's enough.
My own purpose journey
My life purpose journey has been pretty interesting, and honestly, I feel like it's what my Twin Flame journey has really been focusing on.
Before I started my Twin Flame journey, I thought I knew exactly what my purpose was and that I was on my way to it. I had a plan. I had direction. I felt like I was doing all the right things.
But as I began to reconnect with myself, I discovered the direction I was going in wasn't really my purpose. It was what I thought my purpose should be. It was what made sense. What felt safe. What other people could understand.
And that realization kind of threw me into this period of exploration that lasted about three years. I did yoga teacher trainings. I became a certified personal trainer. I was really exploring a lot of body work and movement. But at the same time, I was deeply into the Twin Flame journey and felt this pull to help others heal on their ascension journey. So I began my journey to becoming a certified Ascension Coach.
For a long time, I felt lost. Like I was just exploring what felt good but never really knowing what was going to stick or not. I've spent the last five years in this space of not fully understanding where all the pieces fit.
But the more I heal and come back to myself, the clearer my purpose becomes.
One thing I've been learning is that we are multifaceted, and so is our life purpose. Our purpose includes and honors all of who we are on a soul level. It's not just one thing. It's not just one role or one title. It's the integration of all the parts of ourselves that we've been afraid to claim.
Our life purpose is so fulfilling because not only are we in service to others, but also to ourselves in honoring who we are and living in alignment with it.
Authenticity and sharing my gifts has always been a big block for me, and I think that's why my Twin Flame journey has focused so heavily on healing in the area of my purpose. All of the components of my purpose were revealed to me when I faced my fears and past pain.
I used to hate my body. Now I teach yoga.
I used to hate romance and God. Now I'm an Ascension Coach helping Twin Flames come closer to God and have healthy romantic relationships.
Purpose work is funny like that. Oftentimes the places within ourselves we're most afraid to go, the things we want to suppress and forget most, actually hold the key to our purpose.
We just have to have the courage to remove the dirt off the key.
Looking back, I don't think my Twin Flame journey was only preparing me for love. I think it was preparing me to become who I actually came here to be.
Why your Twin Flame journey often awakens purpose
If you're on the Twin Flame journey, you've probably noticed that it doesn't just bring up stuff about your person. It brings up everything.
And I think that's because the Twin Flame journey is an ascension path. It's not just about Union with your person. It's about Union with yourself. With God. With your truth and purpose. And with your Twin Flame.
Ascension strips away identities. It forces you to look at who you are when you're not performing, when you're not trying to be what someone else needs, when you're not hiding behind roles or titles or relationships.
Healing reveals authenticity. As you do the inner work, as you move through the mirror exercise and start claiming your feelings and your needs and your truth, you start to see yourself more clearly. You start to remember who you actually are underneath all the conditioning.
Learning self-love creates clarity. When you stop abandoning yourself, when you stop waiting for someone else to validate you or save you or complete you, you start to see what you're actually here to do. You start to see your gifts. Your purpose. The things that light you up.
And ascension naturally reveals purpose. Because as you heal, as you come back to yourself, as you align with God, your soul's mission becomes clearer. It's not something you have to force or figure out. It just starts to emerge.
That's why so many people on the Twin Flame journey end up completely shifting their careers, their lifestyles, their entire direction. Not because they're running away from something, but because they're finally running toward themselves.
